Background
Ropley cricket club was established in the 1900s to provide cricketing opportunities in the village. It began with one team playing friendly matches. Over the past years the club has grown from this modest start to its current position of two open seniors and two women's teams playing in the Hampshire League, a midweek league and cup team and still supports in addition some additional friendly fixtures. The club has a thriving junior section providing cricket for Under 7 through to Under 19 age groups for both boys and girls.
The club has the support of Ropley Parish Council and also works in partnership with the other village sports clubs. This association and commitment from the cricket club enabled the village to fund and build a new sports pavilion opened in 2005. The club shares the use of the Parish Council owned recreation ground.
For details of the many activities planned for 2026 please see the attached overall plan for the club as well as a detailed plan for the Women's and Girls teams.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
